About Peter Weinstein, Principal Consultant

Since 1988, Peter Weinstein has been championing education as a teacher, trainer, writer, and educational product manager.

After receiving his MA in Education from UC-Berkeley, he taught in public elementary schools for ten years. While still teaching, Peter honed his professional development skills with the Bay Area Writing Project, developing and leading dozens of workshops over seven years. He also became interested in technology integration, producing the first intranet in a California public school in 1995, and has since published over 20 articles on technology in education.

Peter made the leap into the business sector as Producer and Product Marketing Manager at The Learning Company. He then took the role as Senior Editor at eSCORE.com (a Kaplan company).

Prior to launching Mindful Solutions, Peter spent three years as Director of Product Marketing and Product Development at Riverdeep Inc, the leading publisher of K-12 interactive curriculum. There he managed strategy and tactics for a product portfolio of over 100 school supplemental titles including the brands Riverdeep, The Learning Company, Edmark, and Broderbund. Peter oversaw development and marketing of dozens of new titles and upgrades, including a new network platform to manage Riverdeep’s supplemental education products as an enterprise solution.

Peter lives in Northern California with his two children and their feisty beagle.
